LAWRENCEVILLE -- Brookwood's No. 1 team of Matt Jones and David Brown and No. 2 team of Christian Gochnauer and Will McWhirts each pulled out three-set victories in doubles action to help the Broncos edge Collins Hill 3-2 in a hotly contested boys tennis match Monday at Collins Hill Athletic Center.
Drew Wendel also won for Brookwood (6-0) at No. 2 singles to put the Broncos over the top in a match that featured several three-set matches.
One of them was a battle at No. 1 singles between preseason Super Six selections Chris Clark of Collins Hill and Mark Guentert of Brookwood, which was won by Clark.
Ian Melnik also won for the Eagles (6-1) at No. 3 singles.
Chattahoochee 5, Wesleyan 0
NORCROSS -- The Wolves (1-2) were swept at home by the Cougars on Monday despite a strong effort from Jeffrey Chang, who fell 7-5, 6-2 in his No. 1 singles match.
Dacula 3, South Gwinnett 2
SNELLVILLE -- The Falcons swept through the singles matches to edge the Comets in their Region 8-AAAAA opener Monday at Summit Chase Country Club.
Matt Nelson won at No. 1 singles, Spencer Richardson took the No. 2 singles point and Zak Germaine completed the sweep for Dacula (1-4, 1-0) at No. 3 singles.
Parkview 4, Central Gwinnett 1
LILBURN -- Andy Combs and Hunter Stroud each picked up singles win in Parkview's 4-1 win over Central Gwinnett on Monday.
The doubles teams of Sunny Tran and Calvin Gatz and Takuto Osawa and Chris Whitlock picked up the Panthers final two points.

LAWRENCEVILLE -- The Black Knights (4-2, 1-0) opened Region 8-AAAAA play with a sweep of the Generals at home Saturday.
Winners for Central were Tommy Nguyen at No. 1 singles, Elijah Clarke at No. 2 singles, Tony Nguyen at No. 3 singles, the team of Chris Morrison and Tyler Nguyen at No. 1 doubles and David Johnson and Aaron Manila at No. 2 doubles.
Brookwood 4, Collins Hill 1
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Victories by the No. 1 doubles team of Sheridan Schuster and Liz Slaughter and Natalie Neighbors and Maddie Stanitzke at No. 2 doubles keyed the Broncos' win over the Eagles on Monday at Collins Hill Athletic Club.
Gabby Griffith and Rebecca Norton also posted victories for Brookwood (3-3) at Nos. 1 and 3 singles respectively.

LILBURN -- Megan Reeves, Daron Blankenship and Lauren Franklin all won their singles matches in Parkview's 5-0 sweep of Central Gwinnett.
Taylor Ballard and McCall Mullee won at No. 1 doubles and Kady Litwer and Kelsie Stanton won at No. 2 doubles.

JOHNS CREEK -- Wesleyan's No. 1 singles player, Megan Kelly, picked up the Wolves' (3-2) only win in a 4-1 loss at Chattahoochee.

DACULA -- The doubles team of Savannah Blalock and Ashley Whitten won to earn Hebron's only point in a 4-1 home loss to Prince Avenue.
Central Gwinnett 4, Shiloh 1
LAWRENCEVILLE -- The No. 1 team of Asmoni Simmons-Morris and Tanner Moore and Quiting Zheng and Trang Nguyen swept the doubles matches as the Black Knights (2-4, 1-0) rolled past the Generals Saturday at Central.
Casey Chan also won for Central at No. 2 singles, while Kathy Nguyen was also victorious at No. 3 singles.
Duluth 10, Central Gwinnett 0
DULUTH -- Chris Rich went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles and two RBIs at the plate and combined with Austin Riedel on a no-hitter as the Wildcats (2-0) beat the Black Knights in five innings Monday at Franklin Field.
Rich (1-0) walked just one batter and struck out four in four innings of work, while Riedel pitched around a walk and struck out one in his one inning of work to complete the no-hitter.
Duluth also got a big day at the plate from Ryan McClendon, who was 2-for-2, and Evan Dumas, who had a double and drove in two runs.
Peachtree Ridge 9, Dacula 3
DACULA -- Three different Lions homered and Donald Frew struck out five in Peachtree Ridge's 9-3 win over Dacula.
Frew gave up just two hits and no runs in five innings pitched. Tyler Haswell (3-for-4), Billy Best and Cooper Birdick all homered and Tyler Chaney went 3-for-4 with three doubles. Also for Peachtree Ridge (1-2), Garrett Guy tripled and Brian Hanberry doubled.
Dacula's Dylan Brown (0-1) took the loss for the Falcons (0-3), allowing three runs over three innings while striking out four. Travis Vanderhoost was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI and Dustin Seiber and Brandyn Bratlett each had a hit.
Shiloh 4, Newton 0
COVINGTON -- Chase Waters and JaMarcus George combined to shut out Newton in Shiloh's 4-0 win.
Michael Houchin was 2-for-3 and Cletis Avery was 2-for-4 for the Generals (1-1).
Archer 8, Salem 7
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Alexander Martin homered and Brendan Fowler knocked in two more runs in Archer's 8-7 win over Salem.
Tanner Strickland picked up the win on the mound for the Tigers (1-2) and Deondre Singleton went 2-for-4 in the win.
Redan 3, South Gwinnett 0
SNELLVILLE -- Mason Hart and Zach Bogardts each had a hit and Jordan Ramey struck out four in four innings, but South struggled to score in its 3-0 loss to Redan.
The loss drops the Comets to 1-2 on the year.

DULUTH -- Three golfers broke 40 for Peachtree Ridge in the Lions' 154-169 win over Harrison at TPC at Sugarloaf.
John Beyan shot a 37 and Kevin Kim and Zach Pritchard each turned in 38s for Peachtree Ridge.

NORCROSS -- Miles Laughlin scored four goals with three assists and Blake Davis added a hat trick and three assists as the Wolves (1-1) rolled to the victory Monday at Henderson Stadium.
Jake Miller also had a hat trick with an assist, while goaltenders Aaron Smay and Heath Middlebrooks combined for five saves.
Grayson 20, Norcross 2
LOGANVILLE -- Three different players scored four goals for Grayson in its 20-2 win over Norcross on Monday.
Austyn Gorski (four assists), Anna LaCavera (three assists) and Hannah Wood (three assists) each scored four times and Maggie Robins added three goals for the Rams (3-0).
