ATLANTA (AP) -- Georgia's Democratic Party Chairman has acknowledged the party was recently down to about a month's worth of operating expenses but has made adjustments that will keep the party in business through the spring.
Mike Berlon says the party's executive director resigned over the weekend amid concerns about the party's financial status, but that she was not fully informed as to the party's full fiscal picture. Berlon says revenues expected from the party's upcoming Jefferson-Jackson Dinner and staffing cuts will give the organization about three months' worth of operating funds.
While he was "concerned the numbers got down as far as they did," Berlon says he feels good about the party's position and expects "a significant amount of money coming into the campaign" during the upcoming election period.

Or alternatively, borrow it from China. My great great great grandchildren are indebted to them already, so what difference would a few million more amount to?
