I wanted to thank the Daily Post crew for including a picture of me and my daughter Ally Stewart in Sunday's paper titled ("Thousands Run the Reagan," Feb. 19, 7A).

It was an excellent choice. Not for the benefit of my own family and personal glorification, but I because I teach physical education at Craig Elementary in the Brookwood cluster, and I had approximately 100 students, former students and family members run the race this past Saturday. Upon returning to school, I was flooded with copies of the paper from staff members, and my daughter, who also attends Craig Elementary, was a local rock star, especially in her kindergarten class.

This gave me an awesome way to encourage other kids who don't appreciate running or didn't attend the event to do so next year. We have put a copy of the article on a bulletin board in the school hallway for all to see.

It certainly has, and will, make an impact on our students in promoting physical exercise.
