LAWRENCEVILLE -- Two people were displaced Monday evening when fire destroyed a Lawrenceville mobile home in the 100 block of Pine Valley Drive, officials said.
Fire crews responded to a report of fire from a passerby and arrived at the Pine Valley Mobile Home Park about 5:30 p.m. to find the home fully ablaze.
No one was home at the time, and no injuries were reported. Officials said the fire was under control in about 30 minutes.
"The aggressive actions of the firefighters kept the fire from spreading to other nearby structures," said Fire Department spokesman Capt. Thomas Rutledge.
The home is a total loss, and the exact cause is under investigation, officials said.
The Red Cross is assisting two adults -- a mother and her son -- displaced by the damage, Rutledge said.
