Students who need to make up a class or want to get ahead, including rising ninth-graders taking designated classes, can attend summer school with Gwinnett County Public Schools.
Face-to-face summer school classes are scheduled from June 12-July 11 at Mountain View High, Peachtree Ridge High and South Gwinnett High. First period is from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Lunch is from 10:30 to 11 a.m., and second period is from 11:05 a.m. to 2:05 p.m.
Students can register for classes at www.gwinnett.k12.ga.us through June 4 or register in person on May 31 at Peachtree Ridge High School.
Online classes are scheduled for June 11-July 10 through Gwinnett County Online Campus. Parents can register students online through June 3. Face-to-face meetings are required for final exams and selected classes like health, physical education and science labs.
Transportation is not provided for summer school classes.
Students should take no more than two summer classes: two face-to-face classes, two online classes or a combination. All tuition fees are due at the time of registration.
Any student planning to participate in the summer school graduation ceremony must take all summer classes with Gwinnett County Public Schools.
Face-to-face classes and the online programs will follow a Monday through Thursday schedule. Classes will not meet on Fridays.
