Hush Sports Bar and Lounge sounds just as you'd imagine -- sports and music. Inside, there are 10 nine-foot pool tables, many large TVs, three bars, a giant disco ball, massive dance floor and two stages for dancers.

Lin wanted to create a space where local residents could come to have a good time.

"Now people don't have to drive to Buckhead to have a night out," he said.

In the future, Hush plans to host pool and poker tournaments, plus a beauty pageant.

Partying isn't the only thing Lin wants to cater towards. He wanted to make sure his guests have full bellies when they need a food break.

-- Menu: Lin wanted to feed his patrons affordable food with some class, so he hired Michael Byrd, who runs the kitchen.

Byrd never went to culinary school. He learned his trade by working his way through the ranks for the past 10 years and started mentally filing away recipes. Many of them landed on Hush's menu, which he made from start to finish.

"I tried to keep with the lounge's concept," he said. "I wanted to offer a variety of food to feed everyone."

And that, he did.

The menu ranges from the usual bar foods, like nachos, chicken fingers and hot wings, but it also has dishes that you wouldn't find at a club. Byrd added a veggie burger, shrimp cocktail (served in a martini glass) and a seafood salad with grilled fish and shrimp served on top of a bed of spinach, then topped with feta and dried cranberries. It's served with balsamic vinaigrette.

If Latin cuisine is more you thing, Hush's menu also has a taco selection. Choose either chicken, fish, pork or beef on flour of corn tortillas. Each order receives three tacos.

The restaurant plans to add more items to the menu, including entrees and a tapas selection, as the venue becomes more established.

-- Things you might not know: Lin also owns Fonda San Carlos, the Mexican restaurant located next door to Hush.
