James Allen Cox, 70, of Dacula, Georgia, passed away……February 14, 2012, at home after a 19 month battle with cancer. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to many and will be greatly missed by all. James was born in Charleston, WV, on June 2, 1941. He grew up in the Campbells Creek area; graduated DuPont High School in 1959 and served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962. He worked at Union Carbide Tech Center for a number of years before transfers moved him to Tonawanda, NY, and then to the Atlanta, GA area. He attended Hebron Baptist Church (Dacula, GA) and was a member of the Dove Sunday school class. He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Bill” Cox and Ona Kinser Rick. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Janet “Pat” Cox (married 49 years); sons Lee, Michael and Kevin; daughters-in-law Kim, DeAnna and Amy; beloved grandchildren Marshall, Georgia, Virginia, Kaylee, Blake, Logan, Robert and Josh (all from the Atlanta area); sister Doris Jean Breeden; in-laws S.E. “Shirley” Breeden; Bob and Beulah Wentz, Roger and Marshia Keller, David and Myla Norman, Betty Moles, Shirley Wentz (all from Charleston, WV), Ronald and Viva Wentz (from Winfield, WV); numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of James’ life will be held at Stevens and Grass Funeral Home, Malden, WV. (www.stevensandgrass.com.)
