Gwinnett Daily Post
In need of some Girl Scout cookies and don't know where to find them? You're in luck.
Starting Friday, local Girl Scout Troops are selling their famous cookies at Gwinnett Place Mall at the upper level center court adjacent to escalator and the Mall of Georgia at the pelican fountain in front of Macy's.
"We are thrilled to welcome Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta back to our malls for the fourth year," said Carol Cox, director of marketing and business development at Mall of Georgia. "The on-mall Cookie Program has been incredibly successful the last three years -- we received tremendous positive feedback from our shoppers who appreciated the accessibility of Girl Scout Cookies in the malls. We are excited to work with local Girl Scouts again this year to provide convenient and highly trafficked areas for their sales."
The cookies on sale are Thin Mints, Samoas, Trefoils, Do-si-dos, Tagalongs and Savannah Smiles, and each box is $3.50. Troops will be at the malls from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays.
If you don't want to travel to the mall, there is another option to find cookies near your house. The public can use the Cookie Locator, a program set up to help locate girls selling in your neighborhood by entering your ZIP code. To use the locator, visit cookielocator.littlebrownie.com.
Mall sales end on March 11. For more information, visit www.gsgatl.org.
