DECATUR, Ga. (AP) -- State agents raided a metro Atlanta car body shop as authorities investigate whether cars were being intentionally rammed into each other to collect insurance money.
Agents from the Georgia Insurance Commissioner's Office, armed with guns and a search warrant, raided the business on Covington Highway in DeKalb County on Monday.
Fraud unit official Drew Lane says that "there were perhaps some cars being collided into each other" to make insurance claims.
Authorities say they also hauled away boxes of documents, computer equipment and two pit bulls.
