DULUTH -- Gwinnett Medical Center-Duluth will host a breakfast presentation this month to discuss the gynecological implementations of its robotic surgical system.
Held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on Feb. 24, the event is free to the public and will include an informational presentation to discuss gynecological conditions that can be treated with the system -- conditions like uterine fibroids, uterine prolapse, endometriosis and cervical, ovarian and uterine cancers.
The daVinci robotic surgical system that GMC-Duluth uses is meant to expand surgeons' capabilities while offering a "minimally invasive" option for patients.
Surgeons Nathan Mordel and Stephen Salmieri will be at the presentation, which will be held at the Gwinnett Chamber's 1818 Club, located at 6500 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
Those who attend will be entered in a drawing for an iPad2. Continental breakfast will be served.
Registration is required. To do so, call 678-312-5000 or visit www.gwinnettmedicalcenter.org/classes.
