ATLANTA (AP) -- Cold weather is making a comeback in Georgia after what's so far been a very mild winter.
The National Weather Service says north Georgia is in for windy and cold conditions Saturday with temperatures in the 20s. Snow showers are possible in the mountains.
Central and southern Georgia should see temperatures dropping into the 30s and 40s by sunset. Forecasts have issued a hard freeze warning for south Georgia overnight and into early Sunday.
The winter blast could be brief. The Weather Service says northern Georgia should warm into the 40s on Sunday and temperatures in south Georgia could rise into the mid-50s.
