CUMMING, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities say a construction worker has died while helping to develop a new subdivision in Forsyth County north of Atlanta.
The county coroner's office identified the worker as 45-year-old Jeffery Lee McGhee of Cumming.
Forsyth County Fire Capt. Jason Shivers said that McGhee was operating machinery on a steep incline when he ran into a tree.
Authorities said the accident happened on Bramble Bush Way in the southeastern part of the county around 11:15 a.m. Thursday.
The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the accident.
