Gwinnett natives at Marist sign with colleges

Gwinnett County residents Preston Furry, Matt Orr and Liliana Rios, all students at Marist, signed letters of intent this week with college athletic programs.

Furry, a two-year starter on the Marist football team, signed with Furman. A team captain and team chaplain, the Norcross resident is the son of Matt and Deanna Furry.

Orr, also a two-year starter in football, signed with Georgia Southern. He also is in the War Eagles' Band, earning the First Chair Award. The Duluth resident is the son of Greg and Debbie Orr.

Rios, who won three club soccer state titles, signed with the Georgia Bulldogs' women's soccer program. The Duluth resident is the daughter of Jose and Martha Rios.
