Man found dead at Duluth apartment complex April 19, 2014

Jack Lamar Stanford, age 84 of Snellville, GA passed away January 31, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ellen Stanford; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Rick Streicher; grandchildren, Chase Streicher, Kyle Streicher, Matt Streicher, Christie and Billy Mehlinger; great grandchild, Lilly Mehlinger. Mr. Stanford was a graduate of Tech High School and had attended GA Tech and Coyen Electrical College in Chicago. IL. Jack was retired from Norfolk Southern Rail Road after 42 years of service. He was a longtime member of Snellville United Methodist Church, active in the Hancock Sunday School Class, a 32nd degree Mason, member of the Loganville Shriners and Yaarab Temple. A Celebration of Life Service for Jack Lamar Stanford will be held Friday, February 3 at 3:00PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Rev. Walter Jones and Dr. Jim Cantrell officiating. Interment will be held at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8pm at the funeral home.
