Christian Goodlet doesn't have the greatest things to say about Hutchinson, Kan., but he's excited to get there.
The Peachtree Ridge wide receiver/defensive back signed his letter of intent to attend Hutchinson Community College on Wednesday after making a trip out to the junior college this past weekend. It's not South Carolina, a school he remains interested in, but it's a step toward Columbia.
"It's the best plan for me now," Goodlet said. "I plan to do one or two years."
The junior college rout allows Goodlet to improve his grades while still playing football and he said he is grateful for the chance. Plus, Hutchinson plays pretty good football.
"Everybody in that town knows Hutchinson as a football school," Goodlet said. "It's pretty good. The coaching staff and I already have a connection."
