Company relocates HQ to Duluth

A global company picked Duluth to become its new headquarters.

Q-Matic Corporation, which is pegged as a leading customer flow management solution provider, is moving from its North Carolina location to a 15,000-square-foote office building at 2400 Commerce Avenue in Duluth.

The relocation brings 20 new jobs to Gwinnett, and Chamber of Commerce officials praised the move since the company is hoping to add more jobs in a few years.

"We strive to serve and support the needs of our clients every day. With our recent growth in the US and Canada, we needed a bigger and more accessible place to better serve those clients and call our home. Therefore, we have moved our offices from Fletcher, N.C., to Duluth, GA.," said Thomas Sareyko, Chief Executive Officer of Q-Matic Corporation.

With 360 employees worldwide, Q-Matic develops, manufactures, installs and supports hardware and software products and applications to help companies mosty in the public sector, financial institutions, healtchare facilities and retail environments, a press release said.

"Q-Matic's decision to locate its U.S. headquarters in Georgia and Gwinnett County is yet another testament to the aggressive business assets our state provides businesses across a range of industries," said Chris Cummiskey, commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development. "In addition to our position as a global logistics hub, Q-Matic will also benefit from the strength of our workforce, business climate and other competitive advantages as the company grows here in Georgia and in markets around the world."

honestingine: Not in the plan of mayor and council. They have to many other plans like dog parks and round abouts to consider.
