LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. — Diamond DeShields scored 26 points, but the Norcross girls basketball team fell to Portland Central Catholic 68-61 for the Nike Interstate Shootout championship Sunday night.
Norcross (11-2) led by seven points in the third quarter before Central Catholic (8-3) surged back for the victory.
Tennessee recruit Jordan Reynolds had 26 points for Central Catholic and Kailee Johnson, who is headed to Stanford, added 18.
DeShields didn’t shoot well despite her big point total for Norcross. The North Carolina signee was 9-for-26 and 4 of 12 on 3-pointers.
