SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The Buford boys finished third in Division II of the Upward Classic, defeating Newberry (S.C.) 89-82 on Saturday night.
The Wolves (5-5) lost to Hillcrest (S.C.) in the semifinals Friday after defeating Millbrook (N.C.) 75-63 in overtime on Thursday.
Peachtree Ridge lost in the Division I third-place game, falling to North Cobb 74-69 in overtime. The Lions (9-6) lost to Eagle’s Landing 79-64 in the semfinals after an opening 56-47 victory over Spartanburg.
