LAWRENCEVILLE — Mark your calendar. In the spring, there will be hundreds of pets available for adoption for two days straight.

May 17-19, Gwinnett County Animal Welfare and Enforcement hosts its Pet Revolution 2013 at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds with animal adoptions for 48 hours nonstop — and all of the critters are able to go home on the day of the event.

In addition to adoptions, the event has a focus on spay and neuter education and pet ownership education, plus spay and neuter opportunities for the general public’s animals in mobile surgical units on site.

The public also has a chance to attend several educational seminars that will be scattered around the fairgrounds. The classes include lessons on animal handling, pest control and rabies control.

All metro Atlanta animal control agencies and rescue groups are invited to bring their animals for adoption.
