DECATUR – The Norcross boys recorded their second straight victory over an out-of-state power, defeating the defending Florida Class AAAAAA state champion.
The Blue Devils (7-4) downed Miami Norland 60-51 late Thursday night to advance to Friday’s semifinals of the Converse Invitational at Columbia. The game is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
Norcross defeated Meridian 59-44 in the first round on Wednesday. Meridian was a 2011 state champion in Mississippi and came in with a 13-2 record.
