ROSWELL — Two boys were reported missing in metro Atlanta on Thursday when they did not return home from a visit with their father.

Suwanee boys Ben and Henry Cleary — ages 9 and 7 — were with their father, Daniel Cleary, and were supposed to return Wednesday. Cleary, 46, who lives in Roswell, had been visiting with his sons since Dec. 19 and planned to take the boys to an aquarium in Tennessee, Roswell police Sgt. James McGee said Thursday. The boys were supposed to return to their mother's home, who is divorced from Cleary, police said.

Suwanee Police Capt. Clyde Byers confirmed that the mother of the children lives in Suwanee, but said the city police department is not involved in the investigation.

An Amber Alert was issued for the brothers Thursday afternoon.

Daniel Cleary is described as a 46-year-old Caucasian man who weighs about 220 pounds. He is 6 feet tall and has medium-length gray hair and brown eyes.

Ben Cleary is 4 feet 8 inches tall, Caucasian and 66 pounds. He was last seen wearing a light blue winter vest, authorities said.

Henry Cleary is 4 feet 5 inches tall, Caucasian and 60 pounds. He also was last seen wearing a light blue winter vest, authorities said.

Daniel Cleary is believed to be driving a silver 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a temporary tag and may be in the Nashville vicinity, authorities said.

I am sure they are safe with their father. He probably misses them very much and wants to spend more time with them. Some lawyer or judge probably kept him from seeing them.
