PREP ROUNDUP: GAC boys advance to Carrollton Tournament title game

CARROLLTON -- Greater Atlanta Christian's boys basketball team advanced to the finals of the Carrollton Tournament with a 58-40 win over Oxford (Ala.) on Friday night. GAC (9-0) will play Carrollton tonight at 8:30 p.m. for the tournament title.

The Spartans had three players score in double figures, led by 18 points from Collin Swinton, while Isaiah Wilkins and Troy Morrison each helped with 13 points.


Apalachee 65, Hebron 46

DACULA -- Cameron Blakley of Apalachee logged 15 points, nine rebounds and five blocks on Friday night as the Wildcats defeated Hebron 65-46 in a non-region game.

Kamar Baldwin also added 11 points for Apalachee (8-2). Hebron, which fell to 3-6, was led by 13 points from Ryan Thomas.


Parkview 58, Milton 21

ALPHARETTA -- Parkview ran its unbeaten streak to 10-0 on Friday night as the Panthers routed host Milton 58-21.

Genesis Perrymond led Parkview with 19 points.

White Co. 42, Shiloh 35

DEMOREST -- White County knocked off Shiloh 42-35 on Friday night in the Piedmont College Holiday tournament.

Shiloh, still in search of its first win at 0-7, was led by nine points and four steals from Kaylen Ward and six points each from Davila White and Deanna Johnson.


Two Berkmar wrestlers go 2-0

DAHLONEGA -- Berkmar had two wrestlers go undefeated on Friday night in a pair of dual matches.

Saul Morales, wrestling at 113 pounds, went 2-0 with one pin, while 138-pounder Ethan Castaneda won two matches with one pinfall.

Berkmar faced Lumpkin County and fell 63-15, followed by a 46-34 defeat by Lanier. Berkmar's next competition will be on Dec. 28 and 29 in the Lambert Invitational.
