In this week of season of downer dramas and irksome comedies, "Pitch Perfect" is a welcomed breath of fresh air. Not quite a musical, it is a hipper and racier version of "Glee" set in college instead of high school. Anna Kendrick ("Twilight," Up in the Air") stars as Beca, the new "edgy" girl on campus with dreams of becoming a D.J. in L.A. Unwittingly at first, Beca whips a rag-tag troupe of talented singers into shape as they attempt to win a national a cappella competition.
