Forward Scott Arnold has been assigned to the Gwinnett Gladiators from the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League by the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League.
Arnold has earned two assists in eight games this season with the Pirates. He also posted 11 penalty minutes while with the Pirates.
The Montreal, Quebec native skated two seasons with Niagara University from 2010-2012. Last season, Arnold earned 18 points (10 goals, eight assists) in 33 games. He had a collegiate career best 22 points (16 goals, six assists) in 34 games with Niagara University in the 2010-11 season.
Arnold was signed to an NHL entry level contract by the Phoenix Coyotes on March 23, 2012. He should be available for the Gladiators for Friday's 7:05 p.m. tilt in Reading against the Royals.
