SUWANEE -- The school calendar for the 2013-14 year is available for viewing at the Gwinnett County Public Schools website.

The school board voted unanimously recently to approve the document, which calls for the academic year to start Aug. 7, 2013.

The calendar includes a weeklong break at Thanksgiving, and winter break will be from Dec. 23-Jan.3.

Jan. 6 will be a teacher planning and staff development day.

Spring semester begins Jan. 7, with spring break slated for April 7-11.

Planned furlough days are Oct. 14 and Feb. 17.
