North wins tri-meet with Duluth, Dacula

North Gwinnett's swimming and diving team took first place in a tri-meet last weekend with Duluth and Dacula.

North had 261 points in the girls division, Duluth was second at 239 and Dacula scored 132. In the boys competition, North scored 253 points, Duluth had 240 and Dacula had 123.

The Bulldogs' event winners were Tyler Mazurek (200 free, 1:47.05 and 500 free, 4:48.88), Tom Peribonio (200 IM, 1:55.99 and 100 breast, 1:01.12), Maggie Anderson (200 IM, 2:18.72 and 100 fly, 54.48), Ethan Webster (100 fly, 54.48 and 100 back, 54.81) and Lauren Terranova (500 free, 5:33.72).

Duluth got victories from Allison Chandler (200 free, 2:02.38 and 100 back, 1:01.78), Brandon Neas (50 free, 22.54), Becca Erwin (50 free, 26.00), Brendan Eckard (diving, 223.10), Erin Hembree (diving, 180.75) and Katie Neas (100 breast, 1:15.16).

Event winners for Dacula were Stephen Brinkley (100 free, 49.04) and Virginia Brinkley (100 free, 57.34).
