SUGAR HILL -- The city of Sugar Hill is seeking volunteers for its planning commission board.
The board is a volunteer committee that conducts public hearings and makes recommendations to the city council on land use and development policies, zoning proposals and long-range planning policies. Design or construction experience is not necessarily required, officials said.
"However, an ability to process technical information related to development and planning studies is important," an announcement issued by the city said. "Applicants for planning commissioner should foremost have a sincere interest in guiding the future of the city and be willing to make the time commitment."
Meetings are held at 6:45 p.m. on the third Monday of each month. For more information, visit cityofsugarhill.com.
