Gwinnett Daily Post
Crime Stoppers is now offering a $10,000 reward for tips in a trio of metro Atlanta cellphone store robberies, including one in Gwinnett.
On behalf of the Gwinnett County, DeKalb County and Morrow police departments, Crime Stoppers is offering the reward for any information that leads to the arrest and indictment of two suspects believed responsible for all three crimes.
The robbery string -- all three at T-Mobile stores -- began on Aug. 30 at a location on Panola Road in Lithonia. A second incident was reported the morning of Oct. 8 at a store on Mt. Zion Road in Morrow.
The final crime occurred Oct. 10 at the T-Mobile store at 3384 Holcomb Bridge Road in unincorporated Norcross. In a fashion similar to the other robberies, the two suspects, both described as black males, ordered employees into a back room at gunpoint and forced them to fill up a trash bag with cellphones and cash.
They fled out a back door and were not seen again.
One suspect is described as about 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds with short hair. The other is about 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds, and was wearing a hood during the Norcross robbery, officials said.
In the Morrow robbery, one suspect had long hair with dreadlocks.
Surveillance photos have been released from each crime scene.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS.
