DULUTH -- The Gwinnett Gladiators traded forward Chris Clackson to the Alaska Aces in exchange for defensemen Russ Sinkewich.
Sinkewich skated in 22 games this season for Alaska and has four assists. Clackson played in 23 games and had 12 points (six goals, six assists) with Gwinnett.
Sinkewich is in his fifth ECHL season. The Westlake, Ohio native has played in 173 career ECHL games and has 34 points. Last season, Sinkewich split his time between three clubs, the Aces in addition to 29 games in the AHL with Bridgeport and Abbotsford of the American Hockey League.
In the 2011-12 season with Alaska, he scored six points in 23 games. In Sinkewich's sophomore season, 2009-10, he set his career best with 15 points in 70 games playing for his home state Johnstown Chiefs.
Before turning pro, Sinkewich played four years at Bowling Green State University from 2005-09.
