NORCROSS -- Gwinnett, get ready for "The Hobbit" to flood your senses this weekend.

Beside Peter Jackson's movie releasing today, Lionheart Theater is presenting a sold-out play based on J.R.R. Tolkien's book through Sunday.

Do you need even more fantasy in your life? World renowned artist Jef Murray is stopping by the Norcross theater to meet and greet local fans before and after the Sunday performance.

The Decatur resident will be present to sign his new 2013 Middle Earth calendars and posters -- each can be bought on site. Calendars are $17 a piece while the posters are $5.

Those who don't have tickets for the sold-out "The Hobbit" performance at Lionheart still have a chance to meet Murray. He will be at the theater from 1 to 2 p.m. to talk to fans and after the play ends around 3:45 p.m.

To help the local theater, Murray plans to donate a portion of his calendar proceeds to Lionheart.

Murray is known best for his illustrations of works by Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, but his work has also been published in many other books and journals including "Seer: A Wizard's Journal," "The Magic Ring: Deluxe Illustrated Edition" by Friedrich de la Motte Fouque, "Black & White Ogre Country: The Lost Tales of Hilary Tolkien" by Hilary A. R. Tolkien and "Divining Divinity" by Joseph Pearce.
