Ted Blu-ray (NR)
Movie: 3 stars out of 4
Disc: 3 stars out of 4
For his first foray into feature films, "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane doesn't stray far from his familiar brand of shock humor. Equal parts frat-boy humorist and socio-political commentator, MacFarlane also recognizes a sexually-drenched gross-out story limits appeal, so he crafted "Ted" as a love story between a man and a woman and a man and his teddy bear. Certainly not for all tastes, "Ted" works fine as date movie for well-established couples or anyone with a strong threshold for bad taste and exploitation.
