Kathryn Duncan
Kathryn Wigley Duncan, age 91 of Sugar Hill, died Monday, December 10, 2012 following a brief illness. Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Marilane Brooks and Rev. Lamar Hansard will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Buford. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by husband, Fred Henderson and infant son, William Larry Henderson. Parents, Oscar and Mamie Wigley. Brothers, J.W. Wigley, Joe Wigley and Bud Wigley. Sisters, Sallie Evans and Francis Robinson. Grandson, Jason Thomas. Surviving are, Sons and Daughters In-Law, Leon and Phillis Henderson, Sugar Hill, Hugh and Burma Henderson, Buford, Darrell and Freda Henderson, Auburn. Grandchildren, Sheila and Randy Turk, Christy Baucom, Michelle and Greg Thigpen, Celeste and Roger Casco, Kimberly Turner. 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Several nieces and nephews. Former husband Allen Duncan. Special caretaker Vickie Bowen. Mrs. Duncan was a native of Buford and a life-long resident of the area. She held several jobs through her lifetime but was considered by her family a homemaker. She attended Sugar Hill United Methodist Church.
