Gwinnett County was well represented on the Atlanta Tipoff Club Early Season All-Metro Team, which is the initial list the club uses for postseason honors like Mr. and Miss Georgia Basketball and all-metro honors.
Of the 25 girls on the list, 12 are from Gwinnett. A total of six boys players made the club's 25-player list. Buford and Norcross had the most representatives of any school with four each.
The girls selections were North Gwinnett's Lexie Brown and Peyton Whitted, Norcross' Shayla Cooper and Diamond DeShields, Greater Atlanta Christian's Brianna Cummings, Buford's McKenzie Darrah, Kaela Davis and Kristina Nelson, Wesleyan's Katie Frerking and Brittany Stevens, Duluth's Katie Powell and Brookwood's Rebecca Walker.
Gwinnett's boys selections were Mill Creek's Elijah Bryant, Buford's A.J. Davis, Norcross' Brandon Goodwin and Terrance O'Donohue, Archer's Randall Smith and GAC's Delano Spencer.
