Former Greater Atlanta Christian standout Chris Thomas, fresh off a record-setting career at Elon, was invited this week to the upcoming Major League Soccer Player Combine, which will be Jan. 11-15 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Thomas, who led the nation with 23 goals this past season, is one of only 54 players invited to the combine. The two-time Southern Conference Player of the Year is considered one of top prospects in the Jan. 17 MLS SuperDraft, which is Jan. 17 in Indianapolis. Only 38 players will be selected in the 19-team, two-round draft.
