NORCROSS -- An altercation outside a nightclub early Sunday morning believed to be connected to gang activity resulted in a woman dying at a local hospital from injuries suffered in the incident.
Gwinnett Police Cpl. Jake Smith said Malia Arianne Ross Robinson, 21, died following an incident at the nightclub Liquid Ultra Lounge on Holcomb Bridge Road in Norcross. Officers responded to a shooting at about 4:15 a.m. at 4161 Phil Niekro Parkway in unincorporated Norcross.
Following the incident at the nightclub, a second fight started at a local gas station and a third incident included multiple gun shots. Smith said only Robinson was struck.
Smith said no charges have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
