300 Army troops returning to Ga. from Afghanistan

FORT STEWART — Fort Stewart is continuing to welcome troops home for the holidays after a nine-month deployment to Afghanistan.

About 300 soldiers from the Georgia Army post's 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment were scheduled to arrive Saturday to a homecoming celebration with their families. Fort Stewart officials say members of the regiment who were wounded while deployed will also greet their returning colleagues.

This is the third flight of soldiers from the unit to return to Fort Stewart this month. The troops deployed in March. A big reason they're coming home for the holidays is because deployment tours were shortened to nine months instead of a full year.

Now they can face reality in the U.S. I wonder of this bunch voted for Obama, their great leader in failure. Now they can experience his wrath and see what they all risked their life for.

Kevin, it seems that you are on a mission to let all the readers know how much you dislike this country. I will be more than willing to help you pack your bags as you prepare to leave....just let me know.

Welcome Home Troops!!!

Kevin, if you have ever been deployed before, which by the way you post, you haven't, you would realize that how Obama is doing is the least of the things they really care about when they get home. Family, friends, fun, driving their own POV's and everything else imaginable would top the list long before giving that idiot a second thought. Do you seriously think that they care....they just spent the last 9 months to a year in seclusion from everything but the guy standing next to them wearing the same kind of uniform. Grow up and learn to live a bit more....or as Why_not said, i would happily help you pack your bags and move to a different country. You would be one less (Not a G rated word) i spent over 3 years of my life overseas getting shot at and taking indirect fire for so you can trash what freedoms you take for granted.
