Mountain View to honor college baseball signees

Three Mountain View seniors who have signed letters of intent with college baseball programs will be honored with a signing ceremony Tuesday in the high school's media center. The event begins at 2:30 p.m.

Beau Blair, a pitcher and outfielder, signed with Valdosta State. He has a career .309 batting average, is the Bears' career home run leader and also ranks first in career pitching victories.

Gwaltney, a pitcher, first baseman and outfielder, signed with Gordon College. He has a career .300 batting average and holds school career records for doubles and triples. He also ranks second in career pitching victories.

Dedels, a senior outfielder, signed with Georgia Perimeter College. He ranks in the Bears' career top 10 for hits and stolen bases, among other categories.

Those seniors join a college-bound junior from Mountain View, A.J. Moore. The pitcher has committed early to Kennesaw State.
