STONE MOUNTAIN -- Five strangers walk into a diner and sit at the bar. Sound like a bad joke? Try again. It's the musical "Christmas Wishes" presented by ART Station of Stone Mountain.
Music by Michael Malthaner with book and lyrics by Charles Corritore, the story follows the five strangers, played by Aretta Baumgartner, Bryan Brendle, Scott DePoy, Keena Redding Hunt and Michael Strauss, as they are stranded in the diner during Christmas Eve.
While waiting for the winter wonderland outside to calm down, the group learns that they have more in common than imagined.
Two of the more popular songs include "There Is Nothing Like a Christmas Song" and "Wishes Can Come True on Christmas Eve." The audience will also be able to recognize other Christmas classic references throughout the holiday tale as Patrick Hutcheson mans the piano.
The show runs through Dec. 23.
