Grayson freshman Sidney Willis, after being selected as one of the top freshmen football players in the U.S., has been selected for the National Underclassmen Combine All-American Game, which is sponsored by ESPN and Rivals.com.
The event, held Dec. 18-22 in Myrtle Beach, S.C., will feature 100 players from each grade from eighth-graders to seniors. Willis was selected to the NUC South Stars 7-on-7 Underclassmen Team an an eighth-grader.
As a freshman, Willis helped the Rams' ninth-grade team to an unbeaten season and the region title. He had 20 tackles (five for losses), 6.5 sacks, 17 quarterback hurries and three forced fumbles.
