SNELLVILLE -- Rebecca Walker scored her 1,000th career point in the third quarter to lead Brookwood past Holy Innocents' 53-47 on Saturday.
Walker, a Presbyterian commitment, scored 15 in the game for Brookwood (5-0). Courtney Gardner scored 13 points, and Michaela Guffie grabbed eight rebounds.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Centennial 63, South 54
SNELLVILLE -- South Gwinnett fell to Centennial 63-54 on Saturday.
Colette Onenda led the Comets (3-3) with 16 points, followed closely by Arielle Harvey's 15 points. Jashawna Johnson added 11 points.
Parkview 55, Mill Creek 33
LILBURN -- Autumn Sizemore hit four 3-pointers for 12 points in Parkview's 55-33 win over Mill Creek.
Marissa Mandeldove and Makenna Pouengue scored eight points apiece for the Panthers (5-0).
Darlington 66, Providence 31
ROME -- Darlington won big over Providence 66-31 on Saturday.
The Storm (2-3) were led by Megan Parker with nine points.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Mill Creek 64, Parkview 49
LILBURN -- Trevon Shaw scored 19 points in the first half and 21 overall to lead Mill Creek past Parkview 64-49 on Saturday.
T.J. Christopher scored 11 points, and Elijah Bryant had eight points and eight assists for the Hawks (5-1).
Brookwood 71, Holy Innocents' 65 (OT)
SNELLVILLE -- Nate Gill hit 7 of 8 free throws in overtime to lead Brookwood past Holy Innocents' 71-65 on Saturday.
Deion Dedeaux led the Broncos (5-0) with 16 points, followed by Kahlil Abdullah with 15 points and Chris Powell with 14 points.
Brookwood's next game is Tuesday against Archer.
GAC 73, Pace 29
ATLANTA -- Isaiah Wilkins scored 16 points Saturday to lead GAC past Pace Academy 73-29.
Colin Swinson scored 14 points, Delano Spencer scored 12 and Tyler Hamilton scored 10 for the Spartans (5-0).
Kenny Selmon led the Knights with nine points.
Model 68, Wesleyan 48
ROME -- Model topped Wesleyan for a 68-48 win Saturday.
Will Clifton led the Wolves (2-3) with 28 points.
WRESTLING
Meadowcreek takes second at duals
NORCROSS -- Meadowcreek went 4-1 for a second-place finish at the Mustang Pride Duals on Saturday.
The Mustangs (13-5) fell to Kennesaw Mountain 43-33 before beating Columbia 64-0, Baldwin 72-12, Lithonia 41-36 and Decatur 60-12.
Robert Ngyen (120), Rene Deluna (132), Ade Harden (145), OG Harden (170) and Ryan Moore (182) all went 5-0 for Meadowcreek. Moore is now 18-0 on the season.
Berkmar goes 4-3 over weekend
Berkmar defeated Johnson 43-42 and West Hall 39-33 on Friday at Johnson High School.
Nick Luu (106) was 2-0 for the Patriots (9-5). Alessandro Araujo (113), Ethan Castaneda (138), Randall Persaud (160) and Jose Acosta (220) each went 2-0 with two pins.
On Saturday, Berkmar went 2-3 with wins over Centennial (51-29) and Shiloh (39-34) and losses to Locust Grove (65-10), Johns Creek (48-30) and Chestatee (48-25).
The Patriots were led by Devione Beasley (120), who was 3-2 with a pin, Rehmat Khan (138), who was 4-1 with two pins, and Castaneda (145), who was 4-1 with a pin.
GAC goes 4-1 at Mountain View Duals
LAWRENCEVILLE -- GAC improved to 12-6 with a 4-1 mark at the Mountain View Duals Tournament on Saturday.
The Spartans fell to Chattahoochee 46-31 and defeated Central 52-27, Campbell 46-33, Stephenson 66-6 and Marist 38-29.
Austin Phan (106), Kyle Politz (120), Carter Clinebell (132) and Trent Scates all went 5-0 with three pins. Hunter Martin (195) was 5-0 with two pins.
