FLOWERY BRANCH -- Transportation officials are seeking the public's help in a project to improve a southern Hall County road.
The Georgia Department of Transportation and Hall County are hosting a public information open house meeting this week on the proposed widening of Spout Springs Road.
The informal session begins at 5 p.m. Thursday in the Narthex at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, located at 6439 Spout Springs Road in Flowery Branch. Officials encourage people to drop in to the meeting to discuss the proposal with Georgia DOT engineers, Hall County staff and consultants.
No formal presentation will be made at the meeting, which lasts until 7 p.m., and parking at the back of the church will be closest to the meeting room.
For those that cannot attend, plans can be viewed at the Georgia DOT district office at 2505 Athens Highway in Gainesville. They will also be available after the meeting at www.dot.ga.gov.
