Mr. Felix George Whiten, 73 of Gainesville died Wednesday August 29, 2012 at Embracing Hospice. Born in Stephens County, Ga., Mr. Whiten had lived in Gwinnett County for a number of years before moving to Forsyth County in 2005. He was the son of the late Lester Franklin and Lilly Oakley Whiten. He was retired from Foote and Davies Printing Company and was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Buford, Ga. Survivors include his wife, Roslyn Whiten, Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law; Donna and Steve Wheeler, Suwanee; Andra and Brad Henson, Clarkesville; sons and daughters-in-law; Bud and Susan Whiten, Port St. Joe, Florida; James Robert and Andrea George, Woodstock, 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday September 1, 2012 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Steve Pritchett and Rev. Ken Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Carnes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Stephens County at 3:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday August 31, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Temple Baptist Church Youth Building Fund, 3680 South Bogan Rd., Buford, Georgia in memory of Mr. Whiten.
