Randy and Tonya Godwin of McDonough announce the engagement of their daughter, Haley Michelle Godwin of Athens, to Tyler Wayne Reed of Athens, son of Wayne and Lisa Reed of Lawrenceville.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Union Grove High School and is pursuing a master's degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of Georgia.
The future groom is a graduate of Mill Creek High School and the University of Georgia, where he is a research professional.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 6 at the John Oliver Michael House in Statham.
