ATLANTA (AP) -- Police are investigating the fourth serious wreck involving a wrong-way driver in the past two weeks in metro Atlanta.
In the latest accident, two people were killed when a pickup truck heading the wrong way on Interstate 85 slammed into another pickup just south of Atlanta on Wednesday.
The collision happened 3:20 p.m., shutting down I-85 in both directions for a time.
Fulton County police spokeswoman Melissa Parker said the wrong-way driver was killed. Authorities say a passenger in the other pickup also died.
Names of the motorists involved were not immediately available.
