HAMPTON (AP) -- Police are searching for suspects after three armed men invaded a home in the Hampton area and shot one of the occupants.
Clayton County police Officer J. K. Schneller says that officers responding to the scene around 11 p.m. Tuesday found the homeowner with a gunshot wound to the arm. He was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Schneller said the man's family was in the home at the time. The number of people and their ages were not immediately known. Authorities say they managed to escape unharmed.
Schneller said the only description given to police was that the three men were dressed in black.
Hampton is about 30 miles south of Atlanta.
