Lawrenceville resident Darlene Werhnyak, a longtime Gwinnett County educator, placed third this week in the Georgia State Golf Association Senior Women's Championship at Alpharetta Athletic Club East.
Werhnyak shot 77 and 82, finishing nine strokes behind winner Brenda Pictor, who shot 75-75.
