LAWRENCEVILLE — Even moving Tuesday's start time up five hours wasn't enough for the Gwinnett Braves to squeeze in the game against Pawtucket before the rains came.
After just about an hour of waiting, the G-Braves game was postponed Tuesday afternoon and rescheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday with free admission for all fans. The 1 p.m. start is another try at avoiding a rainout. Gwinnett plans to play a doubleheader Thursday with the first of the two seven-inning games beginning at 5 p.m. at Coolray Field. Tickets for Thursday's games are regular price for the home season finale and Fan Appreciation Night.
Aside from being the final home games of the season for the G-Braves, the games against the PawSox have playoff implications for Pawtucket, which entered Tuesday with a one game lead in the Wild Card race over Lehigh Valley.
No plans are set if rains persist through the week.
