SNELLVILLE -- The Eastside Heritage Center will host a garage sale and cookout next month to benefit the Alzheimer's Association.

The Heritage Center, located at 2160 Fountain Drive in Snellville, begins accepting donations for the Sept. 7 and 8 garage sale on Saturday. No clothes will be accepted.

The garage sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. the following day. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be grilled and sold between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. each day.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its annual Memory Walk. For more information on the organization and event, visit alz.org.
