CROSS COUNTRY ROUNDUP: Storm's Tuttle wins NEGA race

ATHENS — Providence’s Tayler Tuttle won the Northeast Georgia Cross Country Championship at Athens Christian on Saturday.

The junior posted a time of 19 minutes, 6.25 seconds to win the race.

Mill Creek's Lauren Hovis was third with a time of 19:50.23. She was one of three Hawks to finish in the top 10 as Mill Creek won the team title.

Mill Creek scored 62 points, while Archer was fifth with 131, Mountain View (200) was seventh and Providence (226) was ninth in the 15-team meet.

Mill Creek's Ashlee Varnson (20:28.17) was sixth and Hannah Lopez (20:33.00) was eighth. Emily Giles (21:15.17) was 19th for the Hawks and freshman Meghan Smith took 30th with a time of 21:53.81.

Archer finished fifth as a team with all seven runners in the top 50. The Tigers were led by Taylor Dove's fifth-place finish with a time 20:26.23. Katy Steele (21:34.59) was 26th, Brandi Hawkins (21:56.09) was 31st, freshmen Brie Marijanich (22:09.17) was 37th, Morgan Tolbert (22:14.97) was 37th and Madison Thorpe (22:17.47) was 41st. McKenzie Knudsen took 44th with a time of 22:22.89 and Sreyroat Yi (2:27.58) was 48th.

Mountain View's top finisher was Rebecca Winslow in 15th place with a time of 21:09.98.

Dacula freshman Sabrina Seibel was 12th overall with a time of 20:44.91.

Norcross' Yost wins Mercy Invitational

FAIRBURN -- Norcross' Katherine Yost posted a time of 18 minutes, 31.53 seconds to win the Mercy Invitational on Saturday.

Yost's win helped Norcross to a sixth-place finish with 190 points. Freshman Gabrielle Gusmerotti (22:02.91) was 30th and Wendy Rodriguez (22:47.46) was 48th.

Wesleyan's Reed take Kosh Klassic crown

ATLANTA -- Wesleyan's Caroline Reed won the Kosh Klassic on Saturday as the Wolves finished runner-up in the meet.

Reed posted a time of 21:36 and was one of three runners to finish in the top 10. Taylor Panther (22:16) was third and Ellie Bradach (22:36) was seventh.

Rehmann, Delguercio lead Norcross to Mercy Invitational title

FAIRBURN -- Norcross' Arman Rehmann and Nick Delguericio led the Blue Devils to the team championship at the Mercy Invitational on Saturday.

The Blue Devils had four runners finish in the top four to score 36 points.

Rehmann was second overall with a time of 16:04.70 and Delguercio was third with a time of 16:23.78.

Matthew Sutton (16:57.35) was sixth, Sam Todd (17:14.57) was ninth, Jacob Winters (17:43.18) was 16th, Miles Green (17:55.46) was 23rd and Jonathan Hooper (18:23.12) was 28th.

Archer takes fourth at NEGA meet

ATHENS -- Archer's boys had five runners finish in the top 50 as the Tigers placed fourth at the NEGA Cross Country Championships on Saturday hosted by Athens Christian.

Archer scored 146 points, followed by Dacula (225) in sixth, Mountain View (272) in eighth and Providence (286) in ninth.

Kyle Dodd led the Tigers with a 10th-place finish and a time of 16 minutes, 54.44 seconds.

Kyle Boykin (17:56.81) was 29th, Nick Wilham (17:50.35) was 32nd, Jerry Pattillo (17:54.68 was 36th and Darius Ratchford (18:16.24) was 45th.

North's Littig seventh at Bob Blastow

DOUGLAS -- Andres Littig finished in seventh overall at the Bob Blastow Invitational on Saturday at Alexander High School.

Littig posted a time of 16 minutes, 15.13 seconds to lead North to a sixth-place finish. Spencer Bradham (16:29.39) was 28th.

Wesleyan fourth at Kosh Klassic

ATLANTA -- Wesleyan placed fourth at the Kosh Klassic hosted by Westminster on Saturday.

The Wolves were led by Robert Kunce, who was 17th overall with a time of 18 minutes, 51 seconds. Austin Schanen was 20th with a time of 18:56.
