Sneiderman remains jailed, despite bond decision

DECATUR (AP) -- The widow charged in her husband's slaying outside a suburban Atlanta preschool remains jailed two days after a judge allowed her release if she can post a $500,000 bond.

Andrea Sneiderman was being held in the DeKalb County Jail Thursday morning.

On Tuesday, DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Gregory Adams set the bond after Sneiderman's attorneys said she wasn't a flight risk and would follow instructions not to contact witnesses.

Sneiderman was indicted Aug. 2 on charges of malice murder and criminal attempt to commit murder in the Nov. 18, 2010, killing of her husband, Russell "Rusty" Sneiderman. He was gunned down shortly after dropping off the couple's son at the preschool.

Sneiderman maintains she's innocent, and her lawyer Tom Clegg said they expect she will be exonerated at trial.
